Went to eat supper at the hotel. The service was very very slow and we had to ask for our food a couple of times and it was not busy at the time. I would not recommend this hotel because of the service unless you want to spend 3 hours there. Our order was not anything unusual matter of fact it was very simple.. the other thing that was upsetting is there were 3 kids meals and four adults and they automatically put on the gratuity, which I understand there were more then 6 people , but the waitress did not earn her gratuity. She should have only received 1/4 th the gratuity , if she was lucky. It seemed like it was her first time waitressing. Poor . They will never see me there again.

My son Jake and I just came home from having the all you can eat wing special. The hotel is clean and inviting. The service was great. The wings were huge and tasty, I thought some legs might have been thrown in. Our waitress Lisa was available to replenish our drinks and food.
I would rate the Palmerton Hotel 4 out of five stars. If I find the food and service to be the same when it gets busy........5 stars.

I was at the hotel on Saturday, January 29,2011 for a dinner after a funeral. I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I felt for the 1 waitress who had to take care of about 60 people. 1 waitress. Obviously the people called to make this reservation for Saturday. First off, there were not enough seats. The food was carried out, 2 plates at a time by the only waitress...not even a serving cart.........the food was cold...........what do you expect with only 1 waitress? This girl shoud be paid 10 times her normal pay.........She ran her ass off...........what is wrong with these owners? My husband I and often dine at this place, but, guess what? Never again..........poor service

I had the worse experience ever at this restaurant this evening. Let me start my story by saying that my work had a Christmas party this evening. We made our reservations almost a week ago to eat at the Palmerton Hotel. However, once we got there we were informed that our table would not be ready for some time. Upon further investigation we came to the realization that the owners of this restaurant decided to come with a large party of their own and take our table. We found this to be ridiculous but decided to sit at the bar and wait for our table. Eventually we were able to sit down. Unfortunately, our alternative table was pressed up against a wall in a crowded room of drunken people screaming about some sports game; not the right atmosphere for a christmas party. Once we sat down we waited for a waitress to come with our menus and to get us drinks. After almost 15 minutes of waiting nobody had come. A few of us decided to go back to the bar to get something to drink and some menus. We waited for about 10 minutes but there wasn't a bar tender to be found. At this point we had noticed the owners sitting at their table and we decided to ask them if we could get some service. However, apparently they were not concerned because they just turned away and ignored us. After this we got up and began to walk out. The hostess saw us and asked us what was wrong. We told her we were sorry but we were leaving, that this was the worse service any of us had ever had. She was very apologetic and told us that we should still come back and try it another time. The hostess (and bar tender when we saw him) were the only two people who even acknowledged our presence and they were both very nice. Besides those two this was the worse experience i have ever had anywhere and do not understand why owners would act like that. I would never recommend this restaurant to anybody and will definately not be coming back to this restaurant EVER again.
